@eYe
So defrauding the public voters so they would not see relevant information about a candidate for the highest office in the land is just fine with you, keeping information from the public directly benefiting a political candidate for office, nothing bad here.
Would you feel the same if the same thing had happened to a dem?

@eYe
So ALL the charges are witch hunts, doesn't matter when Trump showed a TS doc about how close a US sub can get to a Russian sub without being detected, and telling that doc to an Aussie billionaire, No crime.
Tell that to the Rosenbergs.

There was not a first crime. Marauder wrote thirty emails of links trying, but failing, to tell us the crime. He never can put things in his own words. (Suzianne says he is a lawyer, I do not know how she knows that, he seems more like a paralegal with access to a NexisLexis). Instead, he attached links and posted stuff that never named the crime.
So this judge con ...[text shortened]... get Trump convicted.
There was no crime. I was right, M was wrong. Leading Forum-ers astray!!
I cannot help if you are sooooooooooooooooooooooo incredibly stupid that you don't understand what the crime Donald Trump is accused of in this trial despite it being stated to you literally dozens of times. But one more time:

New York Consolidated Laws, Penal Law - PEN § 175.10 Falsifying business records in the first degree

A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree when he commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.

Falsifying business records in the first degree is a class E felony.

https://codes.findlaw.com/ny/penal-law/pen-sect-175-10/

Since an element of this crime is commission of Falsifying Business Records in the 2nd Degree, here's that statute:

New York Consolidated Laws, Penal Law - PEN § 175.05 Falsifying business records in the second degree

A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the second degree when, with intent to defraud, he:

1. Makes or causes a false entry in the business records of an enterprise;  or

2. Alters, erases, obliterates, deletes, removes or destroys a true entry in the business records of an enterprise;  or

3. Omits to make a true entry in the business records of an enterprise in violation of a duty to do so which he knows to be imposed upon him by law or by the nature of his position;  or

4. Prevents the making of a true entry or causes the omission thereof in the business records of an enterprise.

Falsifying business records in the second degree is a class A misdemeanor.

https://codes.findlaw.com/ny/penal-law/pen-sect-175-05/

So the allegations in the indictment list 34 false entries in business records that Donald Trump caused to be made with the aggravating factor that he intended " to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof." That makes his actions a Class E Felony IF the jury believes all the elements of the crime are shown by the evidence beyond a reasonable doubt.

Thankyou for the time you put in this. Let us say I don’t get it, I’m stupid, and no one here gets it.
I will leave you with this. Many many many jurists and lawyers, and just basically smart people who have a feel for the English language have been saying for six weeks that there is no crime.
I am telling you that all of these many people, some professors in law school, some constitutional experts, some New York lawyers, have also said that there is no crime. They keep saying, throwing their hands in the air, ‘Where’s the crime?’
And if you are so right, and the judge is dead on it, and Bragg is dead on it, why is it that today is the first time that they have enumerated three things that I guess are the crimes that jurors have to pick from, make up several Meals, and share all of their meals, metaphorically, being all agreeing on the meals, all agreeing on the verdict.
There is no way in hell that you will respond to this by telling everyone why the judge waited until today to make up these three items, which were never been mentioned in the news or in any reports of any nature regarding this trial. Really, imagine someone like McHill being on a jury and being hit in the face with all of this as they walk into the jury room. “Oh, by the way, here are three things to pick from.”” You need to come down off your high horse and be practical. How would you feel if you were on the jury and the judge hit you with this?

You keep getting misinformation from propaganda outlets. The theories regarding the possible object crimes which elevate Falsifying Business Records from a Misdemeanor to a Class E Felony, have been in the public records since last year.

https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/24432843/2023-11-09-das-mem-opp-defs-omnibus-motions-redacted.pdf pp. 21-40

Judge Marchan specifically ruled they were legally adequate for the case to proceed in February.

I'm sorry Fox News has neglected to tell you this.

Its a pretty basic fundamental crime. Do you really not understand what 'falsifying business records' means?

He said a lot of things, it w be the most reversible trial in history, just on his ‘Sustained and ‘Overruled penchants.
Yes, got tired of hearing about a records misdemeanor long since expired, and the deft manipulation thereof for nefarious purpose.
Seriously, I wonder what all of the fuss is about. You have to feel a bit uncomfortable pretending to follow this bona fide legal matter (haha ) when you know full well what it is all about. The lawyers in Atlanta actually visited the WH for god sake. Biden administration has it all set up to take down a political foe. Yeah, you are a part of it and you definitely must feel uncomfortable.

I call BS.

I said over a month ago:

"I think any CEO of a corporation who falsely filed paperwork claiming reimbursement for a hush money payment was a legitimate business cost i.e. "legal expenses" and was caught doing so would be prosecuted in NY."

In Marchan's February decision he pointed out that "the People note that their Office has brought "approximately 437 cases charging violations of PL § 175.10." https://casetext.com/case/people-v-trump-20/ p. 22

You think differently, but Donald Trump is not entitled to commit criminal offenses without being prosecuted just because he's a hack politician.
