It seems that in modern times a country is defined by its acceptance by other countries. Israel exists because a number of nations in the United Nations agree that it's a country. Whether or not they had the initial right to do that is irrelevant at this point. The acceptance has existed long enough for the world culture to include the existence of th ...[text shortened]... ave a magic number in my head above which a country is accepted and below which it isn't.
if amerika recognizes your right to a country, and russia or china doesn't but decides it doesn't care enough to intervene, it doesn't really matter that many other countries do not allow you to have a country.
