No sorry I don't watch TV and don't care for your dumb analogies that isn't about taxes at all.

Crank up the taxes on the wealthy. Make it hurt. That will relieve some of the strain on middle class families who are subsidizing the decadent privileges of rich people. How's that for a policy debate?
Losing debate. I didn't ask if you watched The Millionaire, it ran in 1957. One of the first series!! i was telling you its concept. But in your state of being nailed by everything I have written today, to you as a socialist who wants the money of other people which causes us to look down upon all of parasitic society,, I submit that you have avoided every nail that I put in the coffin. I would love to see you go after Bezos.....oh, and tell us what happens after that runs out, His worth of $200B,.. as you cave in his Company, ? $200 B, which would run america for TEN days, look it up, little guy. That will teach him!! He is probably a racist, since all dems are by nature racist....see the gerrymandering they just lost!!! I kinda see what keeps sonhouse up all night.
So, Bezos gone, Amazon gone, UPS lays off tens of thousands of drivers. No more asembly likne workers. You would fit well in Mamdani administration.

OK< you send me next project. Hopefully it is not about OPM.

Last I checked the deficit is $1.8 trillion. That's the amount that SOMEONE has to pay to bridge the current gap, otherwise your grandkids are paying it. And they want $500 billion more for War.

Who do you think should pay that bill?

You could start with the SNAP program, those recipients are driving Masserraties and Mercedes. It is true.
You could stop that mess and other things like USAID and find the money in these nefarious holes.
Snhouse could help you

This is about SNAP failure.

You could start?

NO! Answer the question for real. USAID DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE. We just saw that tried. DOGE actually increased the amount of money government spends.

You have often bragged about how many federal workers Trump fired. He spent more money in the process. That was tried and the size of government is now bigger.

Again, the deficit is $1.8 trillion now, with proposals to add hundreds of billions in new spending programs and no proposals to cut spending. If politicians fail at cutting spending, which they always do, who pays more taxes? You want the middle class to pay more? They already pay too much.

What I want is the Fair Tax.
It has been debated and never gets to first base. You should look it up and see how practical and fair that it is. They would not call it a fair tax if it were not fair. It would get you straight with all of the people that have more money than you do, that you hate so much. I know somebody that has a lot more money than I do, but I like him very much. More power to him. I hope he gets richer. I hope we all get richer. I hope you get richer.

Fair tax, it is the best plan.

Curious, why do all of you libs spend so much time writing and reading and maybe studying about a way to Tax the Rich, when you know it is not going to happen. I think they are pretty much maxed on Tax. The only thing left for you all is to go for the wealth tax. That has been studied, by the Republicans, and we know that it will not work. The Democrats do not study anything, they just say that us go get their money. You never consider the consequences.
if you get Bezos’ money, does this mean that you will nationalize Amazon, which will mean all of my packages will be two weeks late? You know, Castro nationalized businesses.

Oh, so yes, all you had to say is "I want much, much higher taxes on the middle class" and we could have been done with this debate on page 1. The $1.8 trillion deficit (this is Trump's budget before his proposed 50% increase in War spending) has to come out of someone's pocket.

A Fair Tax increases the tax burden on middle-class families while benefiting the wealthy. Lower/middle earners spend all their income on taxed items, while top earners save more. But the middle class is already drowning. Wage growth for the middle class is basically non-existent, while the wealthy are already soaking in gold-plated baths.

A fair tax would just suck up all disposable income from everyone who isn't already exorbitantly wealthy, and its unclear that you could ever bridge the budget gap with that system.

I appreciate your knowing what the Fair Tax is. A national retail sales tax. Your response is expected, because instead acknowledging the nature of all paying the same thing, (living within their means), you immediately dive over into what the Rich People will be doing.
Your obsession with what the rich are doing becomes tiresome. Today, i don't care if Taylor Swift, a billionaire whom you all NEVER talk about because she is a lib, buys a yacht. It would be nice if she would give the money to the poor, maybe she does that too, but it has nothing to do with my life.
Why would I care what rich people do? A guy named Ralph invented a pill last year that you take once, and it extends one's life by 20 years. He made $75Billion last year. (everyone bought a pill)
i would like for you to give an honest opinion of how Ralph should be considered, treated, both by the people and by the government.

Beware of Trap!! I will then ask you what the difference is between Ralph and Jeff Bezos.

You're obsessed with rich people not me. I think they should pay more taxes. You think they're some kind of magic group of super-geniuses who should be showered with free roads and police protection. What you propose would be a disaster.

Look, I don't know where conservatives went wrong, but too much money flowing into politics from donors must be the problem. We've long, long understood for hundreds of years that the top 10% should be paying the taxes. They're the ones that have the stuff. Then you get this mentality that Ol Average Joe thinks that the rich should keep their money and have someone else pay all the taxes. Let the government beat down the bank clerk turned bank manager who pays out the wazzoooo in taxes but the owner of the bank who doesn't even work at the bank pays none. That's the current system that Republicans have built.

It sucks. Get rid of it. The wealthy people should pay all the taxes. Let's give a leg up to the common man. There are plenty of ways the government can squeeze more money out of Jeff Bezos that wouldn't make a lick of difference to Amazon's profit margin.

$1.8 trillion, you want the common man to pay that? Get outta here.

Let the wealthy pay all the taxes. You’re raving does not go very far with me. Comments like that make it difficult to absorb your posts. I’m sorry you’re getting like sun house. Only he gets to write like that, no one else.

I pass. You cannot write a simple post that makes sense and worthy of discussion. If we all live on my make believe Island, and one guy has more coconuts than someone else, there would be only one answer for you. We get all of his coconuts.
You cannot answer this premise, neither could I if I were youBut this premise is the same thing as you are saying….Go where the money is,go where the coconuts are…… pure genius.😳😳😳

No your analogies don't have anything to do with taxation.

The government is overspent by $1.8 trillion in 2025, which will go up this year. You want the middle class to pay the difference. How does that calculate into your coconut analogy. Let the rich guy keep his 10 coconuts and chop off the big toe of everyone else?

Contrare' I best explain logic with analogies such as this. This logic has every thing to do with your relieving a succesful man of his money, simply calling it tax....at your convenience.
As the analogies are not convenient to you, you dismiss them. You, wildgrass and suzianne. Oh, you Are Wildgrass.

'You want the middle class to pay the difference."? I want no such thing. However, you want the upper class to pau ALL ALL ALL of the difference. How do square that? You in effect punish the accomplished (successful) who crete jobs, who will just stop creating jobs. Uh oh, another inconvnenient statement. Funny how you guys have no misgivings or remorse about taking their money.
Sue just wrote me. Says we have not heard from SHouse, as he just inherited $40M>. How will he react when you and Suzianne knock on his door? "We Have Bills To Pay!!"

You are quite illogical. and Irrational.

My approach is the same, you have pivoted to cutting the cost of government.

We tried. Sort of. Doge tried. But the cost of government increased. They are spending way more than Biden now and want to spend $500 billion more next year.

We just finished dessert and eyeing the table. Who pays the bill Joe? You asking your grandkids to pay?
