@moonbus saidYour question, what does an ex-president do?
President Emeritus Trump could buy Greenland and turn it into the world's greatest golf course. You know, GAGA: Greenland! America! Golf, Amen!
PS. Don't expect Deutsche Bank to finance this one.

Well, normally they write books, go on speaking tours, do political consulting, and occasionally do work in the legal field.
I very much doubt President Trump could "buy Greenland" - International commence issues aside, Trump is swimming in debt, and facing a mountain of financial and legal woes in 2021 and beyond. Before he considers buying anything, he'd better be thinking about future court dates, bank examiners, fraud investigations, and public prosecutors; because if his evidence of innocence is the same quality as his evidence of voter fraud, his future is bleak.

@moonbus saidGreenland has a quoted GDP of $2.7B.
@mchill
Well, he did once propose buying Greenland, so I thought maybe it was still on his playlist.
More than what Trump is worth.
Now, Jeff Bezos could easily buy it. Heck, Jeff Bezos' ex-wife could buy it. 😆
In today's world of the who's who of exorbitant wealth, Trump is a pip squeak. 😛

Yep, even if he pardons himself or he quits on Jan 19th and Pence is POTUS for a day and pardons our corruptor in chief, he still has state charges and presidential pardon does not stop THOSE allegations which I sincerely hope lands him in a LONG prison term.
The benefit for the country is a convicted felon cannot run like he wants to in '24.
His reign of terror would be fully over then.
If not he becomes a talking head with the idea of getting ANOTHER 200 million for his run in '24.
@moonbus saidHopefully disappear up his own arse.

Of course, no bank would loan anyone, ex-president of the USA or otherwise, an amount of money equivalent to the GDP of Greenland. Any such 'deal' would be based on the likely profit the venture would return over a fixed period, quite apart from whether the Danes or the Greenlanders were in agreement with it. The prospect of future profits to cover the debt was presumably the basis of the 340 million the Deutsche Bank already loaned pre-president Trump. It looks like the DB just realized that it is a very real possibility that Trump might default on the 340 million. Oops.
