There are also some really great articles out there about what it really means, deep down.
I'll try to sit down this weekend and really pound some keys out over it.
I think it is something that the left can learn from -- and no, I do not mean like, you will now be like me!, some foolish and unrealistic expectation... but, rather, this is something that is meaningful and has philosophical ramifications.
@philokaliasaid It's an amazing meme with a whole lot of layers.

But how do you explain humor?
How do you get someone to think critically that is incapable?
The meme does not even necessarily have to be seen as a criticism alone of the Left; it can easily be seen as a broader criticism of the way that most people conduct themselves in poltiical discussions.
The idea is to not be programmed in the least; it is to always have full charge of your own ideology and your own narratives, and to not have your buttons pushed by anyone else.
Really, in a braod sense, if I was on the Left I would not so much be upset with the meme per se as I would be with the characterization of my positions as such.
I sometimes feel, though, that just as how there are many Christians and many Republicans who just follow a very specific narrative that they never deviate from, who are entirely dependent on the same, unchanging perspective, the Left can be very guilty of this. Instead of actually dynamic, interesting, philosophically grounded & original positions, we sometimes end up with just the sort of barbs that you get from light night TV hosts.
