For education? Money was to be taken, by Biden, from the treasury, derived from tax., to pay off loans. It was not taken "for education".
There was no money in the treasury earmarked to be used for that purpose.
Even suianne could tell you that.

On another note, I sure wish he had better-spent his time getting a hold on Iran. Now Trump has to do it.
No you've been corrected many times on this. The money went from government to the college. The person who was lent the money never saw it. The government was collecting payments, like a tax. Biden's plan was to void those payments like it was a tax cut.

I disagreed with the plan, but you completely misrepresented it. PPP was way way worse. Tom Brady took the money and bought a yacht. You defended him.

Egghead. The government would forgive (cancel) debts it owns or guarantees, meaning it gives up future repayments—effectively a cost to taxpayers.
It was to cost taxpayers. Your disillusioned friend Marauder (brrrrrr) actually said there never was any money.
The government was going to cancel debts which it had expected to be repaid, which has a real cost.

I’m right, and you are an idiot Sorry I sometimes I get just so upset๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜€

Don’t you wonder why the Supreme Court turned him down, since you are saying it would not affect our treasury???

So funny,,,, you disagreed with the plan. Wow let me write that in my journal.

AJ: The government would forgive (cancel) debts it owns or guarantees, meaning it gives up future repayments—effectively a cost to taxpayers.

Yes, just like a tax cut; in both cases the government is "giving up" money it expected to be paid in the future.

Explained to you dozens of times, but you remain too stupid to understand that.

The government knows that much of the student debt it holds will never be repaid.

What you're describing has the same effect as a tax cut. You owed the government money, now you don't.

I am against such a plan - and all other plans to cut taxes - because the government is in enormous debt right now.

Doublespeak at it its finest.
Hey, Wildgrass. Say a township loans Sonhouse $200k to buy a remote shack in Montana. The Time comes to Pay Township Back, that is, repay the TOWN Treasury . (Jesus, Marsuder just can’t get his arms around that one.)
The benevolent mayor of the township, out of the F’n blue, tells the citizens that he wishes to forgive Sonhouses debt with the town revenues (taxes). They ask, will it ever be paid back? No, he says.
You are one of those citizens…. so what would be your position?
Marauder just presented his position.Do you follow mine or his, as they are different mindset? And do you find his more simplistic to understand or do you find mine more simplistic to understand?
Are they saying the same thing?

Note: the Township will absorb the loss. The treasury of the town will be $200,000 less than it was.

You're talking about PPP, which gave money from government to rich people so they could buy boats for personal use.

“ you owed the government money, now you don’t”.

That translates to “the government was supposed to receive a repayment, and now they will not.”

Even Susie Ann will get the distinction in those two ways of saying the same thing. My way makes more sense since I am a taxpayer and I just saw my money given to loser college graduates while my poor little maid stands there in amazement with her three children and no husband. No money. College graduates. A trip to Europe.

Irrelevant. But if I were you, Wildgrass, I would have written the exact same words. The only way out of rationale.

that's what a tax cut is.

You double talking? Tell the townspeople that a $200k shortage in their coffers is…. let me say this right….is a uhh, tax cut?
If you were a store owner paying taxes, tell us EXactly how he would interpret that.?
Not you, marauder, you are confusing enough

Just like if the Township gives a $200K tax cut.

Oh, a clear explanation of what Marauder has TRIED to say for about a year! He naturally seeks for the way that, say, an Einstein would explain it, maybe a chalkboard sprinkled with derivatives!!! Looks smart.
So with Marsuder Logic, say the town has a $3 million budget. Works to the penny!
Mayor announces taxes will be reduced by a total of $200,000. (Covers non- payment by loser grads).
Revenues will now be $2,800,000 instead of $3million in 2027. Town will not be able to cover budgeted items.
So we can forget Marauder input now, and discuss what departments will be cut back. Hopefully not the Police!!!!!

See my response to marauder just above. At least we all see the result of Bidenism. Learning experience. I hope Kamala or the fairy Newsom will not make the same mistake..

Trump cut taxes by $4.46 trillion over 10 years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One_Big_Beautiful_Bill_Act

Where was your bitching about that?

Maybe the "town" doesn't really need $1.5 trillion to attack other "towns".

Your constant disparagement of the sons and daughters of working and middle class families who bettered themselves by getting a college education they otherwise couldn't have afforded shows what a bitter little child you are.

Marauder the Dodgers comes back with two separate issues and totally ignores my analogy, which is absolutely perfect. This little town is gonna lose 6% in revenue, and Marsuder writes about Trump!!!!!!!!!!!!!
…..When it was BUYDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜†

Then, stay with me, he laments over people who can get through College but NOT pay their obligations?!?! Yet, he mentions naught about divorced mother of 3 who works in a laundry room, making clothes ready for the college grad , off work at Schwab Investments, getting stock options Day 1. Big money. But not for our laundress.
