What makes Trump a fascist.?

Western, civilized countries decided 80 years ago that fascism is never the solution to any problems. It's tempting, but the cost is way too high.

There are plenty of other solutions. But people seem to like the warm blanket of fascism.

They vote out the stupid govt, and bring in a new one
The new one fixes the problem
The lame supporters of the old one call the new ones fascist.

I suppose maybe there were hints of fascist tendencies among Republicans, and the immigration system was sort of set up to facilitate a concentration camp-like society. But it was previously balanced with diverse ideas, legal constraints and civility. Show me where Reagan called immigrants garbage poisoning our blood. He didn't dehumanize. From what I could remember, Reagan attacked ideas not entire groups of people.

Trump's building massive concentration camps for foreigners, now. Detention centers are full of tens of thousands of non-criminals. The voice is important for things like dehumanizing people, but Trump's actions are also fascist.

There were different scapegoats and objects of hate back then such as gays and the poor. Still the divide strategy based largely on nationalism and ethnic and racial identity was still central to the US right.

Sorry, I am not aware of Trump quoting Hitler. What do you mean he was quoting Hitler? If you are saying, he said the same phrase as Hitler about the blood, he did not mean the same thing. That has been clarified. He did not mean to the Iranians that he was going to wipe out their civilization of people when he said that he meant he was going to ruin their economy and their ability to live in Iran as he blows the hell out of it
