You talk yourself into circles. Fascism is subjective, we get it. But this regime checks all the boxes. It's been a 10 year slow march to what we now see as unchecked aggression overseas, dehumanization of foreigners domestically, and aggrandizement of a leader who thinks very plainly that there's nothing he's not allowed to do.

It's fascism. Obviously. Maybe the label d ...[text shortened]... a warm blanket), but the resemblances are too many and too strong to deny. We must name what we see.
You silly guy, you need to do yourself a favor and look up the definition of fascism as you will see that it does not exist in our country. You’re wasting my time and everyone else’s
If you’re saying you strongly dislike the direction of the country, that’s fair. But using a term like ‘fascism’ should mean something specific, not just ‘this feels dangerous to me. I’m open to hearing your case if you can point to concrete examples that meet that standard. But NONE OF YOU WILLDO IT😡😡😡😡
None of you will point out some specific action by Donald Trump that is fascist. He has not shut down the Democratic Party.!!!!!!!! Geez. You all are pitiful.

Your love of Trump disgusts me and nearly every other poster in this forum.
Allow me to clear the air, I do not want you all to be mad at AvJoe Joe. I love his policies, I love what he is doing for America, I am not crazy about his personality, just like you. We agree !,But having said that, having a personality like that does not make him a fascist. Think about it.. glitch

Ever hear of the Fourth Amendment?

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."
Unreasonable ?,!.???!, Two things. They have broken a law. Oh, and the real clincher, you can run it by Marauder….wait for it……..””””””The PEOPLE”””!!!!! That means American C I T I Z E N S.
You can figure it out from there.

Whew.

@Suzianne said
No, you did not.

You asked, "How, specifically, is Trump a fascist?"

You mentioned nothing about "the state of America", fascist or not.

Trump is fascist. America is not. This is why responsible people stand up to him.
No, I did not mention ‘ state of America,’. That is easily known if one keeps up with the news.

So after all of these posts, you have a statement to make for us to sit back and hear you out. This was your statement. “Trump is a fascist. America is not. This is why our responsible people stand up to.(Trump).”

Let us move along. I invite you to wait with me for the final answer of any action of Trump that is fascist. Let’s have a beer. So, who do you think will win the World Series?

I gave you like 15 examples. You said subjective. Fascism is subjective I suppose, but this administration ticks every box I can think of.

Even if trump came out tomorrow and said "I am a fascist" you would still be on here saying he was joking or trolling or just trying to own the libs or whatever.

Look at the actions. Armed, masked thugs doing his bidding. Dozens of detention centers designed to hold people without due process. Random demands for new territory. Dehumanizing statements about immigrants and foreigners. Delegitimizing elections. His statements saying his power has no limits and the inability of Congress or the courts to check that power.

It's all there and obvious and I realize that you like all of it but y'all can't call it what it is?

It's obviously fascism. The alarmists were right.

@AverageJoe1

I think that, deep down, you know very well why.

The red lines that you thought you had regarding morality, decency, competency in a candidate, all of those you abandoned 11 years ago. It must have felt strange seeing him diss veterans, the poor, virtually any body, but also worthwhile to achieve something else. Debate and pluralism is boring, a strong loud mouth is what you want.

The demands on good governance that you thought you had, you walked back, one scandal at a time 7-8 years ago. Rules and laws prevent the implementation of the true will of the people.

Your support for the concept of democracy you left one January morning a bit over 5 years ago.
There is no need to ask the people for their votes any more.

The respect for opinions and even life of neighbors and fellow citizens you have bled away in a more and more toxic public discord led by your dear leader in the last 3 years. Silence the opposition, make lies in to truth.

Then a bit over 1 year ago you started to accept a level of visible corruption that you would never before have thought you could abide by. But by now it feels like it is acceptable as long as it benefits the dear leader or his friends and family. The leader is infallible, he is above everybody else.

Lastly, in the last half year, you see how the safety and prosperity of your country, and the future of the young there is being endangered by the dear leader. One man and his vanity over the nation. The nation must bleed for the leader in war.

I don’t know how you got here, or how you made those steps ...
But I think that, deep down, you know very well why he is a fascist.

Now I see more and more people ask: ”..but show me why he is a fascist, do you think he is a dictator?” I can only think it is because, you know, you know already, but you want to put the responsibility off on others to say it, to do something. And when it is all too clear you can claim, no one told me he was a fascist.

Think for your self! Vote for democracy. Vote against fascism. Always.

Your 1st para
: silly guy…. Says nothing.

2nd para: “ if Trump came out tomorrow and said I am a fast as you would still be blah blah blah blah blah. “””. HelpMeRhonda pleeeeeeeaaaassssssse. This is a debate !!! Suzanne, please step in here and relieve me of this dribble.. Mr, AJoe would still be saying?????

Police are always armed. Masks for their own safety as they go about doing legal obligations. There are chasing down illegal people in this country raping and murdering. We are trying to get the hell rid of them. Repeat after me. We need to get rid of people who illegally broke into our country. Repeat that after me. Now, next paragraph after do you do that?.

It is debatable if someone who is legally dropped into this country by parachute is entitled to the process
James Madison did not think about people like that, nor did he think about parachutes.

There is nothing random about putting forth an idea of new territories. If we don’t get Greenland, China or Russia probably could. Agree or disagree it deserves thought, and Donald Trump is the king of thought. Donald Trump is the king of thought. Donald Trump is the king of thought.

Why don’t you do a thread on dehumanizing statements about immigrants and foreigners. That is quite a general statement to throw in the middle of a post. Very unprofessional.

If you want to talk about the legitimizing elections, this seems to be the norm of the day when you consider Hillary Clinton and all of the rest of both parties,,,, give it a rest. That fat black woman in Georgia still thinks she won the governorship Why don’t you write about her instead of Trump?

Your statement that Power has no limits is quite out of context. But keep in mind that he is the most powerful man on the globe and he is feeling his oats having accomplished so many things. Have you ever wondered why he does not seem very concerned about impeachment coming his way. The man is amazing. He will probably be impeached, and I don’t think he gives a damn, he is busy. What a great man to have as our president.

OMG. Everyone this poster just said that there’s obviously fascism. Finally, after all of these posts over the last two days, we are going to have a man to give us the fascism of Donald Trump. No one else can do it. Thank you, wild grass in advance. So tell us what actions of Trump have been evidence of fascism …..you can do this….. please do this
Do not let us down, those who could not answer the question are relying on you to pull them out of theirpitiful non-relevance!,!!!!!!!!!!

OK I will vote against fascism🥨🤔🤔
So great dissertation, I’m sure all posters were glued, but can you tell everyone on the forum what distinguishes Donald Trump as a fascist..,,what he has done in any specific instance that sets him apart as a fascist? Please make your post count. None others have. We are ALL, all, including me, starving for an answer .

We know better.

You don't.

Or maybe you do, but you just want a piece of the pie, or maybe the crumbs once this country burns.

Sit down and shut up.

No one is listening to your love of fascism. You convince no one.

Pull your head out... of the sand.

Specific answers, please, none of the Sunhouse triads and speculations and opinions and hate.
How specifically is Trump a fascist.?? let’s put this one too bad, I am tired of hearing about it. You have been saying it for 11 years. I do not live under fascism. So what is it?
He starts wars without government approval.

In fact, he’s stretched the role of the executive to such an extent, that one could suggest that he doesn’t really care about the other branches of government or the judiciary.

The cult of personality. The obvious seeding of top positions with yes-men, instead of quality.
Including family members.

I could go on, but the way you’re asking the question leads me to believe than no answer will be good enough for you.

Look in wikipedia: fascism.
Then check the boxes yourself.

My apologies. Should not have used the word queer,
At least not in an attempt to slight people.

Looking down on people makes you feel superior, but to everybody else you look weaker.

You silly guy,
An entry that works as a failsafe for not debating.

Learning Debate: There is somthing they call "Captatio Benevolentiae". That says try to evoke goodwill first, thenbring your argument, and you can be moderatly sure that the opponent at least takes in the gist fo your point.

ayne's definition of fascism focuses on three concepts:[32]

"Fascist negations" – anti-liberalism, anti-communism, and anti-conservatism.

The famous "grab em by the pussy" comment on women.
Trying to get his face on a new 200 dollar bill and a gold coin, while still in office.

Traditionally, only deceased presidents are honoured in this way.

Please don’t. Trump’s personality? That is an element of fascism?,!!??
He has ended 7 wars, he has interrupted the plans of Iran, call it what you want, they’ve effectively warred us for long enough. Other presidents danced around ‘something that needed to be done’. They chanted death to us, not to you flower children. ‘Death to Netherlands!’ How does that sound,

Stretching a role…. Doesn’t care,,,,, Golly, haven’t thought of it that way. Did Biden stretch anything?

Exercising his right and responsibility and congressional and constitutional directives to pick an administration? When Biden picked the xxx Kamala, was that a fascist move?

Why don’t you look up def and tell us a specific fitof Trump. Note your teammates here , espSue, do not even attempt to. Hey, is his orange hair a tip-off? To you, it would be.
