Contrary to the MAGA crowds' assessment, Trump and the GOP are becoming more unpopular; but what will it take to stop Trump and his policies:
Congress? Not likely. Though many in the GOP disagree with Trump, most are too spinless to stand up to him. If the Democrats win back control of Congress (no guarantees on that) it will still take time to get legislation passed to begin to curb Trump's behavior.
The Judiciary? Yawn! This branch of our government has been a toothless entity. Trump knows he can slow this process down to a crawl or simply give it the middle finger salute and do as he wants.
The American People? BINGO! If a big enough percentage of the public chooses to take to the streets and the voting booths, only then will the spineless weasels in Congress act. Only then, will the untrained goons calling them ICE agents back down if they face crowds many times their size. Only then will the political landscape change.
I saw this happen only once before during the anti-war protests of the 60's and early 70's. Will it happen again? It's possible. You never know how the American people will react - - until they're pushed too far!

In the meantime, gather the Democrats, fix your party, and have a go at the next election.
Hopefully by the time this happens, people like me who live on the outskirts will see some positive changes to the following:
- Kids will no longer be taught how to have homosexual intercourse in US schools
- WOKE and BLM will be ancient history
- The war in Israel will die off and Hamas type groups will be eliminated
- Iran, Saudi Arabia and their support for terrorists and their desire to kill Americans and Jews will be gone.
- Venezuela will become a thriving democratic capitalist country the way it was 30 years ago
- Cuba will be taken over by the US and converted into a tropical paradise (not many people here have seen Cuba's beaches).
- The drug trade in South American countries will be replaced by some real industries that can benefit the world.
- Islamic militants all over Africa who are killing Christians will be killed and Islam on the whole will be on the decline in that region.
If Trump or the Republicans dont win, these things will not be done and there will be just talk, diplomacy and other forms of time-wasting in world politics.

Despite all that Nixon carried 49 states in 1972 on a pro-war agenda. He barely campaigned.
But if you look at what finally got Nixon out of there, it was none of those things. It was Watergate. A few reporters. Some tapes. All of what happened in Nixon's White House seems so tame and frankly quaint compared to what Trump has destroyed. There's no way scandal stops Trump. All his minions have pre-chambered responses to say all negative press is a witch hunt and his supporters lap it up.
I don't think protest will work.
