The killers did not pledge allegiance to ISIS on social media.

So they just killed all those people for sheets and grins, their sick religion had nothing to do with it?

Do you think the Planned Parenthood shooter was motivated by his "sick religion"?

Oh wait, that doesn't count. That was just a crazy guy, not a true Christian.

Perhaps the notion of any person being motivated to kill others by his religion is "sick". Nobody can tell me that "God" wants me to kill someone.

It appears that some religions tend to condone, or even stir up violence in their name than others.

Do you think that most Americans agreed with the killing of women and children b y paramilitary cops at Waco? These folks were burned out and killed strictly due to their somewhat weird religious beliefs.

Please tell us what other motivation they may have had.
Did they not like the buffet selection at the luncheon that day?

The OP and the link it provides only states that the widely reported rumor that one of the shooters pledged allegiance to ISIS on a social media page is false. It does not state or imply or anything else that the shooters did not commit their acts based on a personal ideology that could be described as Islamic Jihadist:

There is no evidence a married couple who killed 14 people in California this month were part of a terrorist cell, the head of the FBI said on Wednesday, confirming that investigators believe the pair were inspired but not directed by Islamic State.

Probably a zealot. Some religions have more of those than others.

Christianity has just as many as any other. The whole religion deal reeks of man made considering these religions at each other's throats for thousands of years. Like a real deity would ever set up a BS affair like what we have now and in the past.
It does look like the shooters had been planning this for at least 4 years and that dude Enrique actually helped them assemble those pipe bombs and we all know he gave them the weapons. Like we are supposed to believe he knew nothing about their plans? Bull Shyte.

What empirical measure have you used to determine how many "zealots" each religion has?

I don't know what motivating them. I think the religion was an excuse. But there were no manifestos. And certainly no coordination with ISIS or any other extremist group.

But that's not my point. My point is that the media ran with the religious angle because that's what people wanted to hear. And the headlines were false.
