After the Second World war, China was far behind the USA in GNP, etc.. Now we are neck & neck with overall wealth. China is mainly an export nation, whereas USA is mainly an import nation. Who cares about politics when your nation is one of the wealthiest on Earth ?

Mmmm but that could mean one American has 100 trillion dollars and 250 million Americans only have enough to barely survive and some less than that.
