Americans kill people for capital punishment and to bring people democracy ... yet argue over euthanasia. Where there is a will there is a way out.
Surely you're not suggesting that all Americans have one streamlined school of thought.
Then again, you are STANG. 😛

And Darvlay's right, you shouldn't say Americans. There are plenty of states in America that don't execute people. Lots of politicians that take a stand against capital punishment. And millions of citizens here that are against it also. So don't just lump everyone into some great big pot and label us all the same. I dare say you'd ever find a more diverse group of people than Americans.
Originally posted by wibPlease accept my apologies. We've got the same problem with euthanasia in Australia, though we don't allow capital punishment in any states and we don't initiate invasions and killings for the sake of democracy. My question concerns national behaviour, with America allowing capital punishment in at least some of its states and killings for the sake of democracy. If you support my arguement then you'd be less critical. What about those that don't ?

What's your thoughts on the irony ?
not that the behaviour deemed 'appropriate' is necessarily 'right' of course, but thats another debate
