Only because they *told* us. The police said they got a "tip".

You wann'a tip? Sea Biscuit in the 5th at Aqueduct. Jeeesh.
"They" (whoever that is supposed to be) told you that the police were investigating who the "umbrella man" might be, that they got a tip regarding this, that they determined the tip was reliable by other evidence and got a search warrant. An anonymous tip alone would not have been sufficient for a search warrant which has to be based on probable cause.

Here's a "tip"; try to stop seeing every single thing through your political biases.

I just want you to know, I have no real stake in this. If the window smasher is a
white supremacist, it's no skin off my nose. What I am curious about is why
the leftists are trying to make the case when no one has even been arrested.
Sure is strange. I think the libs are desperate to blame this guy for ALL the
damage that ensued. Sure. So far, $500 million in damages and it's all because
some yahoo bashed a few windows out. uh huh. Believe it if you must.

And you should know better than most that a tip is not a conviction.

You're just making Strawman arguments, so it's not worth responding to them.

It's rather rare that an arrest doesn't eventually follow the execution of a search warrant, though that doesn't mean there isn't a lapse in time between the two in many cases. Right wingers on this board seem to have the patience and attention span of the average 5 year old at best.

Fine. Let there be an arrest. Let him be the culprit. It all goes to show, what???
That's my point. It's the leftists that have to explain why they are so desperate
to blame a "white supremist" for knocking out a few windows.

The only videos we have coming out are of course, taken by protesters. Imagine
if the public really saw the protesters doing their damage, like lighting
courthouses on fire and worse?

Anyway, good luck with your quest.
