@earl-of-trumps saidThe Hells' Angels are a whites-only biker gang but they are not defined as white supremacist. Some of them are not racist at all. Some of them are Nazis.
@no1marauder
So they caught a tip and this solves it? They also caught a tip the umbrella man was a cop!
Me thinks you are in a hurry to convict "radical right wingers"
PS: I did not know that Hell's Angels was a white supremacist group. I have seen
African Americans ride with them before.
They are, of course, very dangerous men, and when they commit murder and get caught, they end up in prison. In California where the Angels originally came from prisons are very racially segregated (by the prisoners themselves, the prison isn't doing the segregating). This environment created some of the most brutal and terrifying criminal organizations that there are - racist white prison gangs, radical black prison gangs, and vicious Mexican gangs being the biggest three factions (from what I know, never having been to prison). A Hells' Angel who went to prison has every opportunity to embrace radical white supremacy and his biker gang does not care one way or the other about it.
@no1marauder saidA search warrant was issued because Mitch Carlson (or however his name is spelt) is:
Boy, you really don't make any effort to obtain the facts if they clash with your preconceived, extremist ideological bias. Journalists aren't releasing the name yet for obvious reasons, but the police have obtained search warrants identifying the suspect:
"A Minneapolis police arson investigator said the act of vandalism at the AutoZone on E. Lake Street helped spark ...[text shortened]... macist-trying-to-incite-floyd-rioting/571932272/?refresh=true
So more than just the "tip", Philo.
- 6'2" (and umbrella man appeared to be tall)
- white (umbrella man is white)
- not fat (umbrella man is not fat)
- in Minneapolis (umbrella man was in Minneapolis)
And so, right at the height of protests in Portland and high profile shootings in Texas & Colorado that do not make the left look good, a "tipster" gets the MPD to issue a search warrant for a guy because he is not the opposite of a physical description of a guy in a mask in a grainy video and the assumed motive.
At no point has it really been proven that outside agitators have done this, and the idea that a single man who broke windows (and was apaprently told off by people near him?!) started all of the violence & rioting in Minneapolis is itself ludicrous. As if there has been any issue getting violent protest started anywhere else -- and, to my knowledge, there has been zero demonstratable links to white nationalists actually starting any violence.
But, if you believe in numerological conspiracies, of course you will believe in this sort of tripe.
@Philokalia
If you look at the video, as I chose to do again, there is a point toward the end
of the video where the Umbrella man looks right at the videoer. He had a
full gas mask on and not only could you not identify this man, you cannot say
for sure what his skin color is.
Now, the violence in Minneapolis started 8 weeks ago. And the libs are
*pretending* that all the violence was as a result of Umbrella man smashing
a few windows! LOL. Please.
The city has had $500 million worth of damage. The people that praise the
"peaceful protesters" to the hilt are scrambling to say - "ain't the protesters
fault". What complete hogwash.
I don't know about you, Phil, but if I saw a man smash windows in a Jiffy Lube,
I don't think that would inspire me to light the Jiffy Lube on fire.
Just saying.
@earl-of-trumps saidHowever the Aryan Cowboy Brotherhood IS a white supremacist organization. Try reading the entire article instead of just the parts you like.

@philokalia saidWhy can't conservatives absorb facts from a simple article?

A tipster said he was from the Hell's Angels group. Additional research revealed he was also a member of the Aryan Cowboy Brotherhood, a white supremacist group.
@suzianne saidIn another article, the tipster was said to have reviewed innumerable hours of video. Unless there is a separate tipster, it does not appear to be an inside tip of Carlsson confessing.

None of the "facts" presented have proven anything.
@earl-of-trumps saidEXACTLY.

People should care about umbrella man's identity insofar as anyone who is guilty of such acts of rioting/vandalism ought to be charged.
But the idea that he alone has caused this damage is utterly laughable.
Each person is responsible for their own actions.
The fact that the Left does not endorse this idea is very telling about their philosophy as a whole.
@philokalia saidDo you have evidence that all or any the violence and vandalism done during demonstrations was done by BLM and Antifa affiliates or is that just right wing dream feelings and speculation?
EXACTLY.

@philokalia saidNo, if you could ever manage to read without first filtering material through your extremist ideological perspective, you'd see that the person who "reviewed innumerable hours of video" was the police officer who signed the affidavit in support of the search warrant.

Come on, Kev. Get freeking serious. Who else took to the streets en masse?
jeeeezus, man. *Anything* to get out of it.
@no1marauder saidHey, if the guy is guilty, he is guilty. So far, the only evidence police have

is the word of a "tipster". And you should know that tipsters are wrong
more than they are right.
What I find laughable is the left are desperately trying to blame the culprit
for causing $500 million in damages because he smashed a few windows.
PLEASE!
Did you notice that his actions were met with anger by the brother? So then,
where do you get the notion that all *other* protesters reacted the opposite
and started fires all over the city?
Do you really think that protesters three blocks away lit a building on fire
as a reaction to some goon breaking windows down yonder? Laughable.
@earl-of-trumps saidWhy right wingers think they know what local police are privy to when it suits them, is beyond my comprehension.

@no1marauder
Only because they *told* us. The police said they got a "tip".
You wann'a tip? Sea Biscuit in the 5th at Aqueduct. Jeeesh.
@earl-of-trumps saidAnswer the questions "who else took to the streets besides BLM?" and "who brought their weapons to heretofore peaceful protests?" and you'll have your answers. Alt-right groups like the Proud Boys and the Boogaloo Boys. White supremacists showed up just to loot and bust heads and blame it on BLM and "antifa".
lol

... And what have we learned from the confusing relationship between liberal journalists and the truth?
Lots of stuff never quite seems to match up.
If it did, Pres. Trump would not be Pres. anymore.
