...only concerned with snap beneficiaries? a lot of people are out of work, they cant put food on the table either.

its like when politicians claim social security is running out of money, but you never hear of welfare running out.

the deadbeats have priority...that needs to change

The first government employees to be fired when Trump was elected were the people who investigate government fraud.

No one was ever hired to replace the inspector generals. There's no one there now to prevent someone in this administration from just taking all the money. It's actually unclear, given all the leeway that SCOTUS has given trump regarding where he can spend allocated funding, whether that would even be illegal or not.

So yes, of course SNAP doesn't get funded. But that doesn't mean less tax dollars are used.

Your topic was boring.

Take from the poor and give it his friends. That's what trump is doing.

The anti robin hood.

Ok back to topic. Your question was why are we only concerned with snap beneficiaries?

We are not.

We are also concerned with benefits provided via massive corporate and personal handouts of large sums of money from taxpayers to Trump's friends and allies.

Apparently you're the one only concerned with snap!

example? you are like sonhouse, you say a lot of things that have no background.

I will venture a guess...are you talking about obama bailing out the auto industry, the big banks or what do you refer to?

Those are good examples. We know the current administration has spent $200 billion more than the last administration so far, and they're not using it to pay for poor peoples food.

They're spending it somewhere. But we fired all the people who were involved in investigating government fraud. I don't know what it's spent on.

Have you researched what it is spent on? Have you proof of what you claim?

Have you research what dems are wanting to spend 1.5 TRILLION on in this CR?

It's just the Trump Administration's ongoing war on American citizens.

I am assuming you're asking genuine questions, not trolling.

The CBO reports say the extra $300 billion in spending has been allocated to the military. From what I can tell, it's black ops stuff that doesn't have a paper trail. I would hope that reporters ask questions about it, but perhaps that's asking too much. Certainly no one in the administration is paying attention or trying to be transparent about where it's spent.

So they've stopped the food supplements and they've stopped money for education. And then whatever DOGE did. They reallocated that money elsewhere and then ON TOP OF THAT, they still spent an additional $300 billion.

It's going somewhere. My point is that government is growing more rapidly now than it was last year, because of MAGA policies. I don't like big government.

Regarding the $1.5 trillion, I would enjoy a conversation about if we knew the price tag of the alternative plan. I can tell you with certainty that it isn't zero dollars. Remember Sarah Palin yelling about death panels when Democrats hinted at cuts to health care spending?

As a basis for discussion, let's hear about your source of income for starters.

I think you are similar to Average Joe in presenting yourself as someone who doesn't want to have a serious discussion.

Maybe a few years ago that might have been okay for laughs (or self-amusement), but to me this seems to be a time when trolls and wags are squandering and interfering with our potential to have an internet-table discussion to crowd-source better solutions to our problems than our malignant narcissist of a President or his smug yet craven minions are capable of.

As an American citizen, I'm not interested in being a spectator to some kind of Trump reality show -- I'd rather have sober and considerate governance from our elected and appointed officials, according to established Constitutional law.

I have moved around some in my life and have this observation to offer which rarely if ever seems to be part of the discussion:

The USA is a big country, and some of the coastal states benefit more from trade and cosmopolitan influences than many states in our interior.

When it comes to digital downloads and global forum participation, the only hindrance would be the availability and speed of digital connections.

When it comes to physical goods, there's a transportation cost whether from the coast or to the coast which would make exports or imports to the interior more expensive either way.

May I ask if you might have any solutions to such structural logistical problems?
