I agree that it makes sense to have the UN based in Switzerland- a country that is one of the very few (if not only) to be consistently neutral for a long time. However, as the US helped set up the UN it seems kinda a waste of money and time to quit now.
If we leave, expect Japans money to leave too. Time for Europe to pick up it's own tab.

And what is your problem specifically with the Human Rights Commission?
😕
The post that was quoted here has been removedoff topic yes...
but i agree...
the UN is pointless...
only good thing I can think of is that it provides some people with jobs...
that's about it...
not so sure about the tax idea...
what about Alaska?
u take away federal money and that place is in trouble...
so few people as taxpayers, with so much land to upkeep...
if u want to make it every state for itself, you need to make some exceptions...

The state I live in is one of the many that receive more than we pay. I've seen where a lot of that federal money goes, and its a joke. That system is broken. We waste, and I mean waste way too many of other peoples dollars.

even at a local level tax dollars are misused...
my city takes money from the school systems for some other "more important" use
when there is less money, they cut bus routes, then the parents get upset...
when the parents get upset all heck breaks lose, but thats another story...
when the parents get upset, they "persuade" the school board to get more money... which turns into more taxes... and it goes on and on...
in the end, the middle class is getting screwed...
