Donald J Trump's long history is stark. Cheating contractors of payments, cheating lawyers of their fees, bogus claims of financial wealth through Trump University, lies about a stolen election (which his own nominated judges ruled were false) criminal tax fraud, repeated lies about Mexico paying for a border wall, philandering affairs with porn stars and playmates, prancing proudly on to a convention stage in 2016 with 5 of his children by 3 different women.
The Trump Organization was found guilty of multiple counts of tax fraud, Trump paid millions to settle a lawsuit which found him guilty of peddling false claims of real estate riches via Trump University. In addition, Donald J Trump has been indited on 91 counts of criminal behavior in 4 different jurisdictions, and their maybe more to come - - that's almost 4 times more than mobster Al Capone's 23.
Yet through it all, the majority of Conservatives ignore candidates such as Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Nikki Haley and worship this man like a deity, and when confronted with Trump's long history of lies and criminality, all they can seem to do is point to Hunter Bidens laptop -
- Why do Conservatives worship this man?
@mchill saidNot as many as you'd think from this forum or the loudest internet voices.

Consider his approval rating when he left office was just 34%
Contrast that with several Republican governors in Blue states, including Maryland that went for Biden 65% but has a Republican governor who also has a 69% approval rating. Or Massachussets with a Republican governor with a 68% approval rating.
Yes, there are a vocal minority of Trump cultists. But...
The big question is why the Republican party does not ditch Trump in favor of candidates who are much more popular?
@mchill saidWe just as easy wonder how you would support a milquetoast weak man like Jimmy Carter. Like a child, made bad decisions. So, it he were running now, and his opponent was a guy with a REALLY bad personality, with all kinds of questionable 'i am not perfect' history, but did work out all his problems through life, would you vote for the 1982 Carter, or would you vote for a proven leader, who is not perfect?

Who is perfect? Bernie? He wants to take money from people and give it to other people. CERTAINLY you would not want a guy like THAT!
Come out of the clouds, McHill, we are looking for a leader here. Is Biden what you would call a leader....like your mindset would consider Carter a leader?
And you will not answer my question....is Biden a leader? Why don't libs anser questions?
@mchill saidMost normal people don't get it either.

Maybe they need a daddy figure?
@averagejoe1 saidGiven that you call Trump a leader, shows you have no idea what you're talking about.

@wildgrass saidThe Republican Party for years now have wanted to go full-on authoritarian, but lacked a person brash enough to ignore normal society's disapproval. Trump is their Orange Jesus, their White Savior.

The rest of the pack are Trump wanna-bes that would use the power of Trump's followers to push this country further into the red shadow. They may all be inept, but they're still Republicans and would probably continue, and exacerbate, Trump's "policies".
@suzianne saidRed Shadow is def what we have had the last 2 years....I assume that is what you are speaking of? No, no., no, we want Trump to reverse it. You are confusing us? On purpose, to deflect from the Biden Crisis?

I cannot keep up with all their shenanigans, and i use the phrase lightly. Have you heard of Hunter flying all over the world to do his shyte, it is just now coming out?
@averagejoe1 saidWhat is pushing up NVidia stock is the vast prevalence of outstanding video game titles released this year.
You missed the train, I would be upset too.
Have you got NVIDEA? Hope so. I think I will sell today, this run up cannot last.
Diablo 4, Balder's Gate 3, these games require higher-end systems. I'm thinking of upgrading my 2000-series card already.

Gloom and doom is not blue.
Red shadow is correct. The Trump taint.
(Ewwwww!)
@mchill saidThere are broadly speaking two groups of people who are drawn to Trump. One sort of people drawn to Trump are evangelicals who recognize full well that Trump himself is not a model of Christian virtue, and some of them even recognize that he actually mocks the Christian religion. Nonetheless, they believe that he is a useful tool, that he is doing God’s work in spite of himself, for example, by appointing very conservative justices to the Supreme Court to overturn Roe versus Wade. The second group of people who are drawn to Donald Trump are those who are chronically angry, feel that they are entitled to something but have been cheated out of it. There are a great many such people in America who feel that something went horribly wrong in the last 30 years. Trump is their poster boy. Trump too is very angry, feels he’s entitled to something and has been cheated out of it, and he embodies this in a very very high degree for exactly that segment of American society who feel that they were entitled to a better quality of life and did not get it. Such people need a scapegoat, someone to blame for their anger and cheated-entitlement; Trump provides it: 'foreigners', 'immigrants.'

You mean the current news of the now infamous mug shot of your god king in a Georgia jail?
@suzianne saidI don't care why or how they have grown portfolios, I am on another TRAIN! Glad you are on it too, maybe you will start getting the drift.
