It Bogles the mind in that you lot of antipodeans etc. sit around posturing about these so-called facts stats, but a person who actually lives in Africa's opinion does not carry weight with you, only because it flies in the face of your 'sources'...

Why is that?

The magazine has said that the satire is of the irrational prejudices of the public. Sorry about that.
i guess it's OK if it's the New Yorker saying it.

Could you share the results of your analysis with us. I presume you, like normal, reasonable people will have done some kind of study before coming to a specific conclusion.

There are several things fishy about this story:

The Left's media gatekeepers are spinning this story like the whole thing is the Right's fault for making up and spreading all these baseless rumors about Wonderboy and Michelle Obama. It's good cover for them because if the slam was intentional, they can simply deny it as anything more than another story about the "vast right-wing conspiracy."

More plausible is that the most radical elements of the Democratic Party are starting to get impatient with Wonderboy as he drifts more toward the center. They call the New Yorker up and say hey, let's run this cover and rein our boy Obama in until he starts flying right, I mean left.

Also, the Clintons still draw a lot of water in NYC, and although publicly, Hillary has made kisseeface with Obama, privately, she shares Rev. (sic.) Jesse Jackson's opinion of him. It wouldn't surprise me if she had some influence about the art direction of that particular issue of the New Yorker.

My hope is that people will realize that Obama has a history and didn't come vacuum-packed like a brand new Presidential Barbie doll under the tree at Christmas.
