Wisconsin Governor Urges Social Distancing After Court Blocks Statewide Lockdown

https://www.wsj.com/articles/wisconsin-court-is-first-to-block-statewide-coronavirus-lockdown-11589480845

How many other state courts will step up and put their governors in their place?

The article says the heart of the issue was adding 30-day imprisonment to the lockdown, not necessarily the stay-at-home order itself.

Nothing really to see here.

We will see.

So an unelected body puts an elected representative of the people in their place and that’s a good thing, I’ll stash this one for a rainy day elader.

A dictator trying to get around a legislature. This was the problem.

I couldn't read the whole article because I've used my limit of free reads but it appears a judge disagrees with a governor on the lockdown. Not shocking in itself, but I find it curious that this happened in a blues state.

There will be more "Wisconsins" as time rolls along.

Checks and balances, Kev.

If you don't have it the elected rep can turn into a dictator and pass unconstitutional laws.

Yup, Wisconsin is leading the way alright. While COVID19 cases and deaths are steadily falling in NY, CA, OR, WA and others with stay at home orders, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Iowa, and other red states are seeing their cases and death rates skyrocket from this virus.

Bang up job so far guys! 😀

Count the number of deaths.

Useful idiots abound.

New York 27426
Wisconsin 434

What idiot would use New York as an example of success?

Ok, mchill would.
