@Suzianne saidSonhouse, listen to this soothsayer!!!
Not at all.
It magnifies internal judgments a person develops against society.
The very best thing I can say about hate is that it focuses one's mind to a needle-sharp point. Depending on the person that affects, it could be good or bad, but as history has shown, it's usually bad.
@Suzianne saidthird para above post...
Most of the "hate and rage" is in the person of Donald Trump. And therefore, his sycophants on the right, including these two posters.
He's not done destroying people's lives in this country because they don't agree with him, and the right should take a step back before committing themselves to building a new Gestapo to battle "people and things Trump hates."
Travel ...[text shortened]... y not until after the next world war. Hitler was a cautionary tale, not a blueprint for the future.
"When we see people acting out because of rage and hate, they may feel empowered to act very destructively because they are filled with hate and rage.'
@Mott-The-Hoople saidAre you excusing what Trump is doing?

@KellyJay saidYou are not fooling anyone when you say this is not about Trump.
We all have a worldview; we look around us and see things as they make sense to us. But are we able and willing to acknowledge that we could be wrong about how we view things or people?
Political, racial, and national factors, among other things, can cause us to set aside rational thinking for emotional responses. For example, if you hate someone with a passion, would y ...[text shortened]... flag for us? We are on the verge of doing something irrational that a rational person would not do.
It is clear you come up with a missive with an agenda in mind.
Making excuses for Trump, the dude you propagandize where Trump can do no wrong.
One thing you will NEVER do, talk about the hatreds of Trump.
He hates military generals, calls POW's as losers because they got caught.
BESIDES all the convictions you refuse to even acknowledge as real convictions 34 times over. Just fake news, lying, scheming people out after his ass for no reason. Good luck keeping up that facade.
I guess you would have said the same thing about Hitler if you had been German in 1930.

@KellyJay saidBecause you write a missive where anyone with half a brain can see whom you talk about.
If you did not bring his name up you would not see it.
You will NEVER understand just how sinister and authoritarian seeking he is.
Like now using our own military against our own people, first in LA, now in DC which he called an itshay city, crime everywhere bla bla bla when the fact is crime in DC is down some 30% so the troops are just another distraction from the Epstein files and we know full well even if the courts released the grand jury files there is nothing to see there, nothing there already well known so Trump things that is a GREAT way to appease his base they are trying to release the files.
But all you see is a country savior.
As a Trump apologist and Propagandist you will NEVER allow yourself the slightest hint that something is dreadfully wrong with your Trump POV.
@sonhouse saidOh…so it’s ok for a democrat judge to withhold the documents?

As the rest of it is your worldview (where you could be wrong of course), it just serves as a distraction to a very good thought.
I think we are able and willing to acknowledge that we could be wrong, as long as it is not existential.
It seems like it would be very difficult for a devout Christian to truly consider if they are wrong about the Bible. Consider that maybe it was just written by humans trying to make sense of a very confusing world. It would be emotionally painful in a way I would not wish on anyone. What if your entire belief system is wrong?
Similarly I think it would be difficult for a supporter of the current US President to admit to themselves that his lies are damaging the country.
Politics in the US didn't seem existential before the last 10 years. Now it seems like Venezuela or North Korea here - where some people believe the supreme leader is infallible, not just another politician. I voted for Obama. Loved him. And yes he made all kinds of mistakes. Killed a lot of people with drones. But back then the two were not mutually exclusive.
Good people make bad decisions. Its the human condition. Clinton did some really dumb things and both Bushes did some really smart things. That's how politics works - or at least used to.
When someone posts "I believe that he is the ONLY person on earth that can bring global peace." clearly this is not a normal response to global politics. There are 8 or so billion people in the world. The only one? If that person was not born we could not have global peace? But because he was we can?
So no - in that case there is no way back. Acknowledging that they could be wrong would be an emotional burden that could take a terrible, maybe long-lasting, toll.
Its a timely post. Well done.
@Bish saidDo you see the bias and one sidedness of your post even though you try and hide it? You could also and are wrong on some of the things here, does that burn your large ego and make make you want to not be passive aggressive with your attack?
