@mott-the-hoople saidPence called China "communist China".
Pence nailed it!
China is not a communist nation.
Pence nailed hypocrisy.

@mott-the-hoople saidYou could read that one:
Pence nailed it!

and discuss the facts (It is an editorial from the New England Journal of Medicine, a well respected international scientific Journal)

- Gee, that's a real surprise, coming for you 😏
Partisanship aside - V.P. Pence and Sen. Harris both did a fine job. They came prepared, focused, and largely stuck to the assigned issues. More importantly, they respected the parameters of the debate, and didn't allow it to become a free for all. Hopefully Trump and Biden paid attention, because this is what a real political debate is supposed to look and sound like.

@athousandyoung saidIt's a good meta when interpreted with charity because it actually implies the inability to gather actual, concrete facts.
What about the alternative facts?!
Of course, when it is interpreted with no charity, it is pure nonsense. But I think people who appreciate philosophy or historical criticism would get it.

@philokalia saidCharity, philosophical sensibility, and historical criticism, eh? Well, that eliminates Trump and his team of "only the best." So, coming from the WH, it's pure nonsense.

That will be a surprise to China.
"The government of the People's Republic of China is collectively the state authority in China under the exclusive political leadership of the Communist Party of China "

@dood111 saidSo the ruling elite of China call themselves communists and that’s good enough for you.
Not a communist nation?
That will be a surprise to China.
"The government of the People's Republic of China is collectively the state authority in China under the exclusive political leadership of the Communist Party of China "
Can you explain how this ‘communist’ state has become the No2 ( arguably No1 ) capitalist powerhouse economy in the world.

@dood111 saidJust because China calls itself communist (or did, God only knows) doesn’t mean it actually is communist. Perhaps look up the definition of communism and then check to see how much of it China has inplemented.

See it like this: trump keeps telling us he’s the greatest and best. Doesn’t mean it’s true.
