Here is what I think: They, being president Musk and Vice President Trump are drooling looking at the 2 7 TRILLION in SS coffers and are just ITCHING to get their hands on it and WILL steal it if they can figure out a way.
But that aside, the day to day running of SS is a losing proposition, web site down because of the massive increase in inquiring about benefits.
Do you have to be reminded it is NOT the government's money? It is OUR money, OUR 6% taken out for DECADES.
Not something President Musk should have any say in how it is run.
For instance it is all well and good to find waste and fraud but if you fired ALL SS workers it would save less than one percent of the budget.
Does that mean ANYTHING to you?
You don't see them going after MILITARY budget waste, we all hear about thousand dollar toilets and the like, there has to be BILLIONS saved by a close look there but there is ZERO in the way of THAT look.
So what do they do? Take out near a trillion of the budget for Medicaid, which helps MILLIONS RIGHT NOW.
But repub senators could care less about that, they want that trillion bucks no matter how many millions get hurt OR DIE.
