As you may be aware, we in London (UK) have experienced a number of teenage deaths in London this year. There are number of reasons for this, and I would like to hear your views.
To kick off, I beleive the following have some bearing on the problems we are having.
1. Drugs.
2. Gang Culture.
3. Immigration.
4. Lack of discipline in schools.
5. Teenage pregnancy.
6. Political correctness (see 4 above).
7. Greed.

I have one solution that may resolve a number of the above but I would like to hear your views.

Thanks.

My solution is simple. I plan to cull a large section of the UK populace by breaking into the Sun and the Daily Mail and lacing the pages of each paper with tetrodotoxin. Cans of Coca-Cola will also be infused with cyanide. I predict 25% population decrease in a matter of days.

Spruce's Corollary to Godwin's Law

As the length of a debate thread increases, the probability that someone will propose a solution which involves randomly killing a large number of people approaches 1.

I suggest the following additions:

* Spring loads of very violent criminals from prison and surreptitiously get them jobs as crowd control at football matches, with free rein to behave how they liked;

* Do your cyanide/Coca-Cola trick with Carling as well;

* Put sugar in the petrol tank of all private vehicles packing more than 50 horsepower;

* Introduce LSD in the nation's chocolate supply. If the large parts of the population of a country are going to be addicted to a drug like chocolate, it may as well induce some sort of awareness, rather than just be an emotional crutch which helps them tolerate their miserable lives;

* Steal the bodies of the victims of the Coke/Carling/tabloid poisonings, grind them up and sell them to McDonald's as beef.

* Slip essays by John Taylor Gatto and Neil Postman into the pages of schoolbooks.

Random?! I'm targeting specific demographics here! Extra random consumers caught in the process are reasonable losses.

Practice forced vasectomy on male RHP users living in the UK.

They are an arrogant nerd pest.

Also:

* The printing of subliminal messages in OK, Hello and Now magazines urging readers to kill their favourite celebrities.

* A countrywide ban on 9ct gold, intended to whip up the chavs into a frenzy so we eventually have to call the military in to suppress their numbers by force.

Anyone else?

1 - Legalise drugs
2 - Legalise drugs
3 - That'll stop the Vietnamese immigrating illegally to grow cannabis
4 - Give the chilren drugs
5 - Give the teenagers drugs
6 - Force drugs on the PTA
7 - Force drugs on the fat cat company executives

Now everyone's drugged up to the eyeballs, no more problems!

Hey, I have a radical idea! Why not hold parents responsible for their parenting???? If your youth can't read, THAT's an educational issue. If your youth have no discipline, it's because their parents are raising spoiled brats and then having a fit when the schools or society try to hold the kids accountable for their own behavior.

Why not start billing parents (everywhere) for the costs of arresting, housing, and arraigning their children every single time it happens?

That'll keep them out of poverty.
You can't incite people to be good parents financially, they have to know how to be good parents in the first place.

Well leaving the radicals to one side, it seems that parenting is an issue. There is probably some truth in that I think it's the grandparents, they were bought up in the free and easy sixties and the mayhem seventies.
The one solution I have is to bring back National Service which was phased out in the fifties. All young people from the age of eighteen would be required to do 30 months.
This would instill discipline and values that are missing in the family homes. It would also give a good grounding for the future parents.
