This is the price countries pay for mismanagement and complacency. Many countries have now experienced it in varying degrees, Defeating this virus requires vigilance, and consistent adherence to intelligent healthcare guidelines. Half steps will only prolong the problem.

The reality is that lockdowns caused more harm than good and they were forced to abandon lockdowns. It is a third world country so people were starving among other things. It is also a highly populated country which helps the virus spread.

Yeah. But they’ve done quite well with the vaccine roll-out.
But yeah, Johnson really botched up everything else. And the levels of corruption are astounding. That’s gonna be a very large fish to fry in the coming decade.

The Indian mutation of Corona seems rather worrying too.
Vaccinations don’t seem to touch it, as of yet.

Of course, racist right-wing Westerners remain obsessed with China (which has the
58th highest number of deaths among countries in the world) as the main source
of new mutations of Covid-19 in the world.
