@Rajk999 saidSo those who are affected by the problem should fix it, not the one who caused it?
The Strait of Hormuz has no effect of significance on US trade. Also Trump was not crying. He just suggested that those who are affected should get off their lazy butts and do something about it. Also when you live in an insignificant country you should really not condemn the actions of bigger countries to which you owe your very existence.
great logic.
And the UK doesn't owe its existence to the US. - Vice versa if anything (historically speaking).

I quite disagree. Had it not been for FDR decision-making and our fighting forces, Hitler would have easily conquered the UK. Actually, without us, and the allies that fell into FDR lockstep, Hitler would have had all of Europe.
Sorry for all the shallow minds on the forum.

@AverageJoe1 saidOf course Trump started the War with Iran, the world knows it. Where you been little man?
You are wrong out ot the gate. He did not start it.
Secondly, regardless 'why' it is closed (Why is always irrelevant to me in discussions),,,,,,it is closed. WE need to open it. Are the Ntherlands or Romania or Spain going to open it? Who but us to open it.
Do you want it open? Say no, or sit down, little feller.
Don't you recall he bombed them into the stone age, yet they are still able to shoot down American Fighter Planes. Hopefully the two Pilots will be ok, they didn't start the war TRUMP DID!!!!

'Without the USA, a German victory was possible but not certain, largely shifting the conflict into a long, brutal war of attrition.'
Meanwhile, it tells us:
'The United States, as a single, English-speaking superpower, almost certainly would not exist without Britain. The thirteen colonies were founded, structured, and culturally molded by British settlers and policies. Without Britain, North America would likely have been dominated by French and Spanish, or become a collection of smaller nations.'
@Very-Rusty saidEveryone pick a few random posts by average Joe and by this poster. Tell us which one you would find more coherent and believable..

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidThe fallacy with your post here is that I said that the UK would have been demolished. That is a fact. What you write or what you think might have happened.??? That is worth zero on the forum.. I mean look at some of Funhouse’s posts. Are you gonna go with what people think all the time, or what they predict, God forbid?

Here is the part you don't know, who would all fight the U.S.A. if they were to attack the UK??? NO ONE!!! What would Russia, China, and North Korea do. They may attack the U.S.A. Great time to take them out. You guys can not beat the whole world by yourselves. Hell Trump said Iran's military were gone and yet they shooting down American Fighter planes. Pretty good for being bombed in to the Ice age!!!

AI has my thumbs up here:
'The United Kingdom won the Battle of Britain, which concluded on October 31, 1940, by successfully defending against the German Luftwaffe's air attacks. The Royal Air Force (RAF) thwarted Germany’s attempt to gain air superiority, forcing Hitler to postpone the planned invasion of Britain (Operation Sea Lion) indefinitely.'
@Very-Rusty saidLooks like our intel, re the rocket launcher that hit the plane, is not perfect. They missed that one!! Dam Trump for his imperfections. His 96% success rate could be down to 94%. Why did not our intel know every nook and cranny of this stone-age country??!!? They a missed a launch site and the animals at the launch site. Bring Funhouse in to talk about it.

You seem to suggest that Hitler would’ve said we cannot beat Great Britain, we will leave the UK alone . Of course,Hitler would’ve never stopped his progress and would have won so what in the hell is your post about?
@AverageJoe1 saidDid you miss the final word?
Postpone, yes.

'Indefinitely.'
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidDid you ignore that Blitz came next?
Did you miss the final word?
'Indefinitely.'
And that Hitler indeed changed his objectives after you-know-what, Pearl Harbor. Left The UK gambit to other theaters.
So is this how all liberal posts going to be, tit for tat gotcha , stuff like that. And how boring is it to talk about Past history Present day history is what we should talk about. I think I do a good job of it. You, not so much.

'The Blitz, a sustained, nine-month bombing campaign, failed to break British morale or cripple its war industry.,'
And;
'No, the United States did not end the Blitz. It ended primarily because Adolf Hitler redirected his air forces (the Luftwaffe) to the Soviet Union for the upcoming invasion, Operation Barbarossa. '
@AverageJoe1 saidWhat’s funny is he doesn’t look at now only the past. I wonder if he thinks the uk is the same now as then in strength, politics, and on, let alone realize they’re dying from within at these liberal hands.

I wonder where they would be if we didn’t have many billions of dollars worth of systems, munitions, and manpower protecting them for all of these years? Does he consider this as being there for them, not mentioning how low their spending is for nato and letting their military fall to almost non existent in strength. They give India more aid than they spend on their military.
Look at France and their joining the enemy, the only country with back up lights on their tanks, well almost!
