Slightly optimistic with that earlier prediction. Rather than rush now, we have decided to make the switch later this evening. (About 10pm GMT is now the predicted switch over time.)

EDIT : This is all subject to my wife not having our now overdue baby in the next few hours. (I did actually consult her before deciding on the delay. No twinges yet - so we figured it was safe to wait a few more hours....)

New Servers?! It will be worth the wait. I'm sure we all look forward to them being up.

Well don't get too excited. At the weekends, RHP generally runs well anyway. We are really aiming to improve speed for those who use the site when it is heavily loaded.

We are experimenting with compression too, so 56kbps users should see a dramatic change.
