I read the first two Potter books and enjoyed them, pleasant enough mind candy. I got 1/2 way through the third and got bored with the genre, put the book down.
Same with Ann Rice's vampire chronicles, after Queen of the Damned I was sick of her, though I've read Interview With the Vampire several times. It's a great read.
I hope they kill Harry Potter in this last one and be done with him.
