The most famous frenchman I can think of is Louis Pasteur. Beyond that I am at a loss.
Napoleon, for example. He was responsible for cars driving on the right, the metric system, the translation of ancient Egyptian and the baguette.
Vitalstatistix is another great Frenchman. Not even Ceasar could conquer him and his village!
And there are quite a few others as well...I'm sure.
