Where are you from, Remora? If I remember correctly you are from Kentucky? May I suggest you read up on Civil War History to see why the South wanted to seperate from the North to understand why we considered the Civil War a war for Independence. I don't know what they teach you youngsters in school these days, but I'm afraid it's politically-correct gibberish, as far as the Civil war is concerned.....

I like the British too, by the way, but I'm afraid your friend confirmed to the British student teacher how ignorant we Americans truly are....by his/her ignorant question, however honest it was...
