Dive, not sure if you're aware of it, but you consistently come across as angry, bitter, vicious, and heartless......in this forum as well as Spirituality.
I'm not sure. When considering apparent intent and its interpretations, we could easily get lost in a house of mirrors.

It could be that Dive is just a mischievous clever drunk, perhaps a little arrogant and inconsiderate as well. To be fair, I am personally familiar with that type.

Maybe he has transits going on that involve Mars, Mercury, and Chiron. Plus Neptune and Jupiter, of course.

It could be that his parents gave him a blue bicycle instead of the red one he really wanted, and his disappointment at that lies at the root of everything else.

Glad to oblige.
When I was younger my Granny confused me on the meaning of the word of. She was old fashioned and archaic in her speech. If it was 11:45 she would say it's a quarter of 12.
She probably just meant 3 o'clock. 😉

@Gambrel
When I was a kid and we visited Chicago, my parents said we would be going up to the top of Sears Tower. I resisted that for a long time because I thought we would be going on top of the roof and I might get blown off.

Good for you, Rusty, well done.
Thanks, I am quite proud of it. Was just like another life time.

Many think the 12 days of Christmas means the 12 days before the 25th.
This is incorrect. The church season of Advent goes from roughly 4 weeks before December 25th-Dec.24th. Dec.25th- January 6th is The Christmas season, then Jan 7th starts the season of Epiphany. So you see according to the church Christmas lasts for 12 days.
Which is the reason everyone talks about Jan6th being old Christmas. Many take trees down on that date around here.

Dive, not sure if you're aware of it, but you consistently come across as angry, bitter, vicious, and heartless......in this forum as well as Spirituality. What's surprising is your "claim" to be a Christian, because your words prove that wrong.

Are you just acting this way to sell a "forum persona"? Because that would be even worse.

In any case, your posts are getting worse as the time goes by.

Why limit being nice to days around Christmas? Be nice to everyone all the time. Don't be like me in other words.

Good Point gambrel.....It doesn't seem like we will be able to get people to be nice to each other for 12 days, so although your question is reasonable, I can not see it happening. I hope I'll be proven wrong but highly unlikely.

Twelve drummers drumming,
eleven pipers piping,
ten lords a-leaping,
nine ladies dancing,
eight maids a-milking,
seven swans a-swimming,
six geese a-laying,
five golden rings.
Four calling birds,
three French hens,
two turtle doves
and a partridge in a pear tree!

BTW the Norse season of Yule lasts 12 days, from the Winter Solstice till 12 days later. I assume the church mimicked the"Pagans,"
