GB was basically saying that man does not know the future, but God does. God has revealed the future through the Book of Revelation. In this way, Christians (and others who take heed) understand where the future is really going, and no, it has nothing to do with 2012. I've answered questions in this forum ab , but GB keeps after the general forum like Don Quixote at the windmill, to similar effect.
sounds like GB's typical arrogance to me - calling GF users swine would definitely appeal to him. and to be honest, people who use GF to peddle their own spiritual views deserve all the flak they get. it's as bad as those people who stand on street corners shouting at passers-by while thumping a bible, or the ones who have the temerity to come knocking on the door of people's houses.

there's a spirituality forum for that stuff, you know.

yes, I know. 😞 And it's full of unbelieving trolls.

In this case, I was asked what my beliefs in end times were. Then made fun of for them. As I said, lesson learned.

i guess the only thing that got me posting here was that 'pearls before swine' quote. essentially, it's comparing GF posters to swine.

the original was not one of Jesus's better rhetorical moments, i think. if he was around to say it today, it would be all over the papers and he'd have to back-peddle and say his comment was 'taken out of context' blah blah blah, and that he hadn't intended to call non-believers pigs blah blah blah. i guess even he had his bad days. on the other hand, since he was more or less preaching to the converted that day, i suppose they might have enjoyed being told, essentially, that they were superior to non-believers.

Regardless, it is as true now as it was then.

And I do not take it back. Or back-pedal. I said what I said, and meant what I said.

ok, so you're calling non-believers, or perhaps just GF posters, pigs, and you stand by that. good for you. i still think it smacks of arrogance.

Why not?

Their behavior certainly merits it.

I've called them monkeys in the past... is that any better?
