Sin, it really doesn't matter if this person is in the tourney or not, or
whether or not they play themselves a hundred times to increase their
rating - What matters is that when they come across a real chess
player they will lose, and badly - I for one don't care if someone else
is prepared to spend the time nursing 40 or so games to fool's mate.
In fact, I'd be quite happy to play them and relieve them of their ill-
gotten points.
We should just ignore this kind of behaviour, as it really doesn't
impact on any of us in anyway - again, even if this person is in the
tournament, they can't bully us into playing a fool's mate, so who
cares?
Alright, my sermon over, let them get on with it!

Joe,i agree i dont think they would enter the tornament.people like
that just think of themselves, they arn't team players.i was wondering
how long it would be before this issue would kick into the
tornament.we must not let these guys spoil the match.a lot of hard
work and time and effort has been invested in this.we are all looking
forward to it.as Kirk said there was a good mood about the match lets
get back to that.we must not let them rob us of this now we are so
close.i dont think there are so many cheaters.i dont think i have
played any,but it wouldn't bother me,it's there problem not mine.lets
all get on with making this thing work.

So two wrongs make a right?
I think my parents...as crappy as they were...taught me a little
different than that.
Cheating never will give you the satisfaction of actually doing it
correctly. I have played many sports and chess gives me more of a
thrill than scoring a touchdown ever did.
But I do it fairly.
Give it a try.

I learned how not to cheat as a child. I knew how to cheat then, I still
know how to do it. Go ahead and check my stats. Tell me I cheat. No!
I'm not low rated because others cheat, I'm low rated because I move
too fast and don't spend all the time it takes to analize a move
properly. We know of other high rated players that cheat. But< I would
not make this statement blatantly as you did, "

I assure you that the vast majority of top internet chess players on
this site cheat "
Let us look at the word in your statement. "vast majority". Are you so
blatant and willing to insult folks like Schliemann, Nightmare Nj,
Islanddoc, Opposition and the top twenty rated here by that??? Are
you.
I know how to play and accept my rating as it comes. Go tell your
mommy others cheat and it is ok for you to cheat. Don't tell me. And
while you are at it tell her to change your diaper if she still accepts you
as her's.

PS: I'm sorry your post got my blood boiling.
Then your argument is since you believe others cheat, it is acceptable
behavior for yourself?
This must be what you are saying, since few people here are unaware
that some persons, such as yourself, cheat.
What amazes me is that cheaters just don't get it! The primary
reason we are different from other forms of life as a species is that we
try to make appropriate decisions. Just because something is
possible does not mean it should be done - only the very young and
immature tend to believe in such thinking.
Are you going to open a chess game with a3 or maybe f3, or play a
losing move in a winning position knowingly just because you can?
Perhaps you would, but believe me, you are in no way a
representative of “us” the chess playing community here at RHP.
Quite the contrary – You are an example of how NOT to be a chess
player.
