If you liked the old rec system then just limit yourself to using ten recs... just because more are there doesn't mean that you have to use them.

This thread just shows how meaningless these recs are.

When we had 10, they had at least a little value. When you ran out, you were done, and so you only rec'ed the "good" posts.

Now that we have 30, people are blowing them on crap posts again, so each one now means that much less than before. This is rec inflation, and might possibly lead to an abolishment of the rec system altogether, once it becomes clear that it is meaningless and a complete waste of time. While this doesn't bother me in the least, it sure sounds like a step backward for your little crusade, PK. Way to go.

Keep going. Maybe you can get them removed altogether.
