I thought you might be retired with all the time you spend on here! 😉

* to be able to help someone
* finishing a crossword puzzle
* the face of my wife when I bring flowers
* the moment when the fog parts and the sun comes out
* getting a nice message from someone I haven't met in a while

I like people who are not only kind, but also giving, to those in need!

So I start a thread, which should make us feel happy, because we recollect happy moments.

Everybody can be a valuable contributor.

I plea to everybody that you don't comment on others' lists. And please no negative or just meaningless posts.

Thank you very much!

Glad to hear about your friend. They say is takes 6 months recovery for every week in ICU.

1. Collaborating closely with a group of creative friends to make radio programmes for a tiny community radio station in the UK.

2. Getting drunk only once a week - and not excessively so - in order that it retains a bit of its novelty.

3. Listening to all manner of favourite podcasts and discovering new ones.

4. Eating food from the Padang region of Sumatra: the matriarchal system there has resulted in countless generations of Padangese men opening Padang restaurants seemingly on most of the archipelago's 17,500 islands! [Including maybe 1,000 of them in my city alone.]

5. Each new archival concert release that comes out by the Grateful Dead and Frank Zappa and any "expanded" or "deluxe" rereleases by bands and artists I've been into over the last 45 years.
