'5/90/5 Spectrum'
Of all the people in your evolving periphery during an entire lifetime...
* 5% will treat you better than you choose or have the opportunity to
treat them. Your mother or father, maybe a sister or brother as well
as good samaritan strangers along the way will fit in this category.
* 90% will probably treat you about the same as you treat them.
Seems we live in a tit for tat, reciprocity minded, net sum zero world.
* 5% will treat you badly no matter how well you treat them. Over the
years ungrateful children, recalcitrant employees, maniacs on the road
and false friends may identify themselves as prime examples.
Personal viewpoint (which you may or may not share) simply stated...
You never go too far wrong in the long haul by giving the benefit of
doubt and treating others better than they deserve. Virtue matters.

Edit: You've already put yourself, long ago, in the rare 5%.

also, by nominating yourself for the 'good 5%', do you mean to imply that you treat grampy better than he treats you?

Take a school history or science text book for example... why do you believe it..because Dr somebody wrote it? They say the moon is 385,000km away....do you believe it..yeah you do...not because you have proof,,because you have faith.
