Hi. Yesterday I was printing out a chess board from my computer but it didn't all fit on the paper so it gave me an idea. I cut the chessboard out so that it was 8x5. So, I set it up like this:

Me and my brother played it like this, using the normal chess rules, and found it was a little flawed. The game became immediately closed since their was such limited mobility space. We then tried playing it where the pawns can move only 1 square, all the time, and making the center pawn on each side a General Pawn, which can move the same as a normal pawn but can capture the square ahead of it aswell as a piece diagonal . We played about 10 games and had a lot of fun since modern chess has become outplayed and boring and this was something brand new.
I thought it was pretty cool. I ask you that you try it as well and tell me what you think.
