Black Oak Arkansas, yes, good hard rock. The chick lead singer dressed like a character right out of Dogpatch lol,
with her patented torn dungaree shorts. She was built, and could entertain. Thanks for the mammories 🙂

Grand Funk goes way back, yeah. "I'm your captain", "bad time" - really good stuff.

My favourite ELO track was always 'Confusion', maybe because it summed up my state of mind at the time! Funny how some things never change...

I was born in late 1959, so.

When Reagan got elected that seemed like a transition to guys in black suits, black limos, and black towers.

And then came R.E.M.'s Murmur about 1982.

70's I was well into C,S,N and Y.* (see how many seconds it takes you to work out who I'm on about) Particularly the 'S' part of it. There's an album with him sitting in the snow with a pink giraffe toy, can't remember the name of the album but I still play it sometimes. 'We are not helpless, we are many.' Last long - haul flight (remember those?) I did 'After the Goldrush' back to back a few times, very loud through headphones. Got me across the world, and took me back to those carefree days....

* Saw them play Wembley Stadium back in the day, a classic musical experience, although I confess I was too stoned to remember much about it afterwards.

Think I was listening to different music to you all in the 80's
No idea what I listed to when I was a toddler in the 70s
We had a few records and I had a record player I picked up at a jumble sale.
I had a record with 4 heads on it, it looked cool but I didn't really like the music- no idea what it was.
I remember the green green grass of home was played a lot for my mum and Edith Piaf songs
And Sugar, Honey, Honey (I hated that song!)
Then late 80s I started listening to tapes in my walkman recorded from the radio and top of the pops on the TV. New Kids on the Block, that was my band 😀

Dave’s Not Here.

Cheech and Chong.

My significant other just put up, on our "white board", the word sugar as we are out of it. When I saw what she'd written I immediately started singing "that" song. 🤔 😀

Edit: Now it's become an earworm.

I really can't stand it!
There are too many annoying songs out there

I've had an Elton John lyric stuck in my head for ages. I think it might even be two different songs.
excuse me forgetting, but these things I do
you see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
and
this boys too young for signing the blues

Yes! Thank you
It's because I watched Rocket man at the weekend.
I'm playing them now. Not sure if that'll help with them playing in my head or not...
