@mudfinger saidI remember both. Very well.
Anybody remember Black Oak Arkansas from the 70"s?
How about Grand Funk Railroad?
Saw both in concerts "back in the day." Highly entertaining!
@yo-its-me saidGot Yellow Brick Road in my head by reading your post. It's just one of those songs.
Yes! Thank you
It's because I watched Rocket man at the weekend.
I'm playing them now. Not sure if that'll help with them playing in my head or not...
I'll just stick to the 70s for this post. I think of the 80s as a separate musical era.
The only famous band from the 70s I ever saw live was K.C. and the Sunshine Band. One of my brothers got to say hello to Al Stewart later in life, though.

@great-big-stees saidFor me, ABBA takes the prize for earworms.
My significant other just put up, on our "white board", the word sugar as we are out of it. When I saw what she'd written I immediately started singing "that" song. 🤔 😀
Edit: Now it's become an earworm.
@moonbus saidGood timing, that.
For me, ABBA takes the prize for earworms.
I've mentioned that I've been going through the back catalogues of pop and rock artists and band, for the last couple of years. After all, you have to do something to drown out the whining of cow-orkers and air conditioners alike. Just last Friday I finished the last album of Adriano Celentano. Guess - just guess - what the next band on my list is!
Yup, Monday morning I'll start binge-listening to ABBA.
(Oh, and again: suggestions, anyone?)
@rookie54 saidBOA was the first concert I ever attended. In Billings Montana. Styx was their opening band. Styx had the hit "Lady" at the time. Five bucks admission at the door or $4.50 for tickets purchased in advance.

"Send your check or money order payable to...". Those were the days, eh? lol
@very-rusty saidYa know, Neil Diamond started out as Neil Coal, but the pressure got to him.
Neil Diamond Sweet Caroline. I believe it came out in 1969 but was quite popular and played a lot in the early 70's. Was sung by many singers including Elvis.

@very-rusty saidDo Americans often focus on money?
Appears it worked!
Ya know, According to Celebrity Net Worth, Neil Diamond has a net worth fortune of around $200 million (£149m).Nov. 26, 2020. How about you? 😉
