@very-rusty saidwell its true he ran a pub and I got all the flooring work, before the pub he managed the doors at various nightclubs, and if there was problems he would be despatched to sort it out, I got on ok with him he was unassuming , small framed but something creepy about him. we worked on a Ladbrokes casino and nightclub in Newcastle and got invited to the opening night Joan Collins did the ceremonies around midnight a gang of Geordie thugs broke in and smashed the place up, the owner (Italian Mafia) sent for said guy to sort them out.all true

@very-rusty saidcant name names but the jobs that I took on included some shady operations one a bingo hall in Huddersfield it had over 500 slots and the manager took £1 from each machine every night, we employed a van driver for a period of time until the police arrested him his previous job had been as a postman, he had been helping himself to peoples giros and pension payments, anything that looked like a birthday or Christmas card he opened because people send cash gifts, he drove a porche and his wife a audi tt lived in a 5 bed house, got 8 years at her majestys pleasure.
Sounds like you know some really serious people!
