Thank you. You gave me an opportunity to tell about my love for England, the English culture, history and people. If I could live my life over, it would be there - either London or the English countryside, e.g. St Mary Mead, a fictional village in Agatha Christie's detective stories. You see, I can't stop myself. 🙂
Just a tidbit I thought was interesting and has been confirmed by most scholars:

You can find England mentioned in the Old Testament (the merchants of Tarshish).
And the U.S. (as an offshoot of England) is referenced as being one of the "young lions of Tarshish".

I've heard people talking here over in my part of Canada. Many believe because of Charles affair with Carmela while married to Diana was bad enough that he should be passed over for Prince William. She is loved by many here and you are right she can never be replaced.

I believe Charles has proved he is a serious person.

That isn't how succession to the throne happens old chap. There's no conversation to be had. Charles will automatically become king. He would need to abdicate for William to be king and why would he do that after waiting most of his life to wear the crown.

Charles will do very well as king - he knows what is expected of him.

Yes, I know. Just saying what people have been saying, many not happy about him replacing the Queen. I told some of them it is just the way it works and like you said after waiting most of his life he isn't going to give it up at this point.

I didn't say he wouldn't make a good king, just what people are saying. He probably will not be so popular in my area of Canada, Canada covers a lot of ground. We will see how he is accepted when he becomes King, and how people react to it. I sincerely hope he doesn't get booed.

People have to learn to forget. I have done many things that I'm not proud of, and I am the worst judge of that. It's all in the past, but I find some of it hard to deal with. We must learn to forget.

You live in a different country and world as far as that goes. People around here have long memories. Not the most forgiving as you might think, when it comes to Adulatery, lets just say the word.

Maybe you live in a small place, a small community where people know each other, or at least acquainted. In big cities it may be different. London for instance - now we are back where we started,
