ive raised questions here in the forums and asked the opions of
others.on a variety of issues.i asked because these were the
questions others have asked and issues arising from my games.ive
decided that redhotpawn (for me) is the only site that i will play!! as a
newcomer all i wanted to do was play chess and played as many
games as i could. there are many different people here playing, sore
losers,chess club members,chess beginners,computer users,old
people and young people.to all newcomers a warm wellcome!! maybe
the more experieced players on this site like
amnell,rhymester,bessyboo,rookie5 to name a few who have played
hundreds of games here may consider a type of help group to those
seeking personal advise about other players (not moves:-)) or the
business of playing multiple games!

When you say 'asking personal advice about other players' do you
mean dishing the dirt? I've certainly played a diverse selection of
opponents but the ones that really annoy me are those (Like
Whispering Dragon for example) who take up a challenge make a
right hash of the opening and decide to offer me a draw before
disappearing! Grrrrr..... Others like MartinS are genuinely trying to
learn as they play and Bessyboo just likes toying with me....

"A lot o' people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch o' unconnected incidents 'n things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice o' coincidence that lays on top o' everything. Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' [dirt]. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or [dirt], or plate o' [dirt] out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconsciousness."

"Well, where did all these [posts] come from? I'll tell you where: the future. Where did all these [posts]disappear to: the past. How did they get there? Flying saucers, which are really, yeah, you got it: time machines."

I don't know how, but I will search the forums to try to find out so I don't leave anyone hanging again.

Yeah! (for those that haven't seen the movie, the character Miller has a dialogue where he mentions "plate", "shrimp", and "plate of shrimp".) I just read that when the brothers Lagarto and Napoleon are getting too hot in the Malibu and pull over to get something to drink, when Lagarto is in the phone booth calling Marlene, there is a sign behind him in the window of the diner that says Plate O' Shrimp, 2.95. I never noticed that before so I will have to check it out next time.

Great movie, great quotes.

Well I feel as if I've just come out of suspended animation and six years have passed .... my brain will have to warm up some more before I can appreciate these words of wisdom ;-)
