21) Once you've found the right person restrain yourselves from planning your wedding before you've had a meaningful courtship in order to learn the best and worst about each other first; if you're both still deeply in love, tie the knot.


Today, I fiercely told a couple of pre-teens to get out of the drainage pipes...it wasn't exactly advice...more like the 11th commandment...

Similarly, I decided when I was 16 that I knew more than my parents. Now that I am considerably older than that, I never presume to give teenagers any advice because I know it may cause them to just do the opposite.

You can see them mentally rolling their eyes. They have to learn for themselves, they have to make their own mistakes, adults just telling them stuff just goes in one head and out the other....
