My point was that you can be the best team in the world going forward and score 5 great goals but if your defence is poor and lets in 6 then its a waste.

I think the African nations will test the defence of some teams, but they don't really have a hope of winning.
If Ivory Coast had been drawn in one of the other groups, I think they would have had done well. It's pretty sucky being drawn against Argentina and the Netherlands, compared to the draw that Togo received for instance.
Ivory Coast v Argentina is one of the games so far where both teams were pretty impressive.
