The correct answer is that they have bundles of skill. imagination and flair but currently lack the organisation to defend smartly. Especially at set peices.

In order to win games you have to stop the opposition from scoring as well as scoring yourself. However, if you conceed one. Then you have to score twice to win.

African goalkeepers are notoriously bad too, which never helps to install coinfidence in the back four. Ivory Coast look pretty handy, wouldn't be surprised if they got a result against Serbia, maybe even a shock result against Holland. Ghana are defensibly poor but exciting going forward, it was a good game to watch when they played Italy but I don't see them getting through to the next round.

Next World Cup could be interesting, in SA with 4 African teams, I reckon we'll see at least one team in the last four.

Cameroon would have been more of a threat, had they qualified. More players in European leagues, therefore better equipped to play against European nations.

He's called Ashley Cole. We also have Rio Ferdinand and Sol Cambell, two other black defenders.
