I'm in a really bad mood due to some real life issues as well, so I apologize for going ballistic here.
Sorry to hear that ATY, in this game Rome has been doingall my moves (with some email comms only) forthe past 6 weeks. Now l can return to the helm and see what damage (gulp) has been done..

Don't you think that having another player in the game do all your moves for 6 weeks violates the no#1 rule on the site?

To wit: Lastly, the most important rule: You can control ONLY ONE position per game.

Don't you think asking the GM if it's ok to substitute for another player for a certain period kind of covers that? Hmm?

I notice you don't care about the other rules, like not demeaning other players.

No, I don't. First, I doubt if it was done. Second, you would have to inform the other players. Third, even if both were done, it's still a direct violation of not only the letter but the spirit of the rule. I can see if someone can't make a move for a week or two, but 6 weeks is ridiculous.

First, we ask that you do not harass, spam, or demean other players. Just use you're common sense about this, if youre generating 50 complaints, youre probably doing something wrong. So in this respect, please play nice 🙂.

Use your "common sense"; goading in this forum is not a violation of this rule. If I was writing personally threatening or insulting e-mails, it would be different.

Take it up with Age Games, then, you legal paladin, you.

Speaking of common sense, the rule clearly refers to running two realms concurrently under false pretences, not the permissible duration of substitution, which seems to be your only actual objection here, windy bluster aside.

That's exactly what happened: one person was running two realms concurrently under false pretences (I bet the other players - well outside the BDN "Circle of Trust" anyway - didn't know). The substitution exception is supposed to be for short emergencies, not for significant portions of the game. When puffito1 was made unavailable for a month or so for the Shogunate game, I could have submitted a turnfile for him, but that would have been against the letter and spirit of the rule. Some of us follow them even if it might be to our game disadvantage, but I wouldn't expect that from you.

I can't decide which role would be worse.

With the GM's approval? (Yes, the emails can be produced if any other players have a problem with the way this has been handled.)

If you go through the thread, nook7 mentions twice that he's on holiday and asks what is going on in Illyria, a hint to any but the most obtuse that he is not at the helm of the Illyrian ship of state. Nobody made a big deal about it.

Spock's probably the best at chess, so I must be Kirk. I'll sing him to death.

No, only the music applies.

As for charcters, it's comparative to the fight for the suitcase from Dumb and Dumber.
