I’ve had a small one for 2 years. It’s great for cooking a quick bowl of chips, a couple of frozen cod in breadcrumbs or 4 sausages. I like the instant heat the ease of turning the stuff over without getting a blast of hot air in my eyes and it’s cheap to run.

This smaller one is just right for us two as I batch cook & freeze most of my own veggie meals. My oven gets used less than once a week.

i did not fully understand so i did my own research
the first 4:18 is a neat video that helped me comprehend the operation of air fryers and the last 1:40 is a commercial

if i were ten years younger i might buy one
as it sits right now, i have a computerized pressure cooker, two crock pots, a convection oven, a stand mixer, and 120kg of cast iron skillets, pots, and pans that i do not use
heck, now that i think about it, i also got two brooms, a swiffer mop, a vacuum cleaner, and an air purifier that i do not use
and a hammer

I’m not familiar with soup-makers. So they chop, slow cook then blend?

There are two kinds, the toxic and non-toxic. Personally I dont care for either.

Didn't know such a thing existed. Was it also called a blender?

Are you talking about the food being in contact with a teflon surface? I make sure anything I cook in mine isn’t touching the surface of the air frier by putting the food on a plate or a piece of baking paper.

Yeah, well maybe that helps but this whole thing about cooking where plastic is involved is not healthy. Toxic fumes are released by teflon under high heat. The experts claim its miniscule but its not really when its in everything you eat, 3 times a day for a lifetime. Heat and plastic are dangerous for food, and it is becoming more and more common. You cannot escape plastic but you should get rid of plastic in all cooking and food. For me things like, teflon coated pans, plastic cooking utensils, plastic mugs, plastic water kettles, plastic spoons, are all out.
