They are all tournament games. And he is resigning on the first move so it does not affect ratings.

I would assume he didn't want any more games.

I count 12.

Tournament 510

Perhaps he was overloaded and felt that he wouldn't be able to progress through a very strong group (Tebb, Quirine and Dynamic09 all being 2200+).

Only Akizy knows why, and anyone really interested should PM direct.

However by joining and then immediately resigning both parties have prevented two others players from actively participating in the tournament, which is a shame. 🙁

actually it's round 2 so they did play round 1.

and read the profile!!
Hands up. Missed the fact it was 2nd round but they have still prevented someone else progressing who would have played the
games.

As for "read the profile" it doesn't give a reason for resigning all the games.

as a fix ...russ could make it that if player resigns before their first move in all their games in a tournament ... then the next best player from their previous group would play in all their games ... in this case felldancer would pickup schakur's round 2 games, and sealion would take akizy's games in round 2.

this fix would of course be a silly and unnecessary fix ... unless it becomes a common habit of the successful tournament players.

I've done it in a couple of tournaments when I was overloaded. Its the only way to get out of a tournament without having to play the games.

What happened to me was I joined a few 3/7 tournies within a few weeks of each other, and then the second round of all of them started within a couple of days, so I resigned my games in a couple of them, and played in the others.

What happened to them was I joined a few men 24/7 and within a few minutes of each other, they wanted a second round and all, one of them started eating a couple, so I resigned myself to gay couples from then on and only played in the bath.
