Always Remember...

#1. That there's probably at least two people in the world you would die for. #2. That every night someone thinks about you before they

go to sleep. #3. That it's best to save the compliments you receive and to discard the rude remarks. #4. That a kind word or a flower

from a friend while you're here are of greater value than a truckload when you're gone. #5. That trials keep you strong. Sorrows keep

you human. Failures keep you humble. #6. That good friends are like stars. You don't always see them, but you know they are always

there. #7. And last... that whenever life hands you lemons, to ask for Jose Cuervo and salt and limes and ice and to invite me over.

A lesson from my childhood: Always remember never to try and catch snowflakes with your tongue until all the birds have flown south for the winter!

Yuck!

By the way "People are like stained-glass windows: They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within." Is beautiful πŸ™‚

A beautiful analogy. Why is it that some gentlemen have more uplifting posts than some of the "ladies"...I was just comparing your words to the naughty post below it by Miss Sniffles. 😳

Thank you. I'm sure I must have got that quote from somewhere, but I don't know where. I try to inspire if I can, i.e.:

If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain:
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

-- Emily Dickinson (1830-1886)

After my mom died, we found a book of Emily Dickinson poems among her things....I have it now as my sister recently shared it after all these years. Mom was always reciting poetry to us girls. She had taught school in a one-room schoolhouse in the North Dakota Badlands for a couple of years. When we were in school in ND we had to memorize alot of poetry. It was fun getting together with some of my much older cousins....now deceased...and finding out that we knew the same ones.
