yup - at least it takes the media eye of the royal wedding though.
Apparently, in a time before I can remember though, he did alot of good things and was quite a popular guy. I am afraid I only knew of him as a older pope suffering from health problems.
Seven hours for the funeral ceremony alone though is quite alot, regardless of how popular someone was.
They shouldn't have had much of a problem the last time around - after all they'd only just covered one (JPI didn't last long).
Disappointed with the coverage, I like to put on TV whilst waiting for the water to heat up in the morning - three out of the four channels I can get had coverage, and the fourth had kids cartoons on.
Originally posted by elvendreamgirlI'm pretty annoyed to death by it,since it's ten days that on Italian tvs and newspapers there's only pope and religion, religion and the pope.
Is anyone else amazed at the amount of coverage there has been on the Pope?
Movies are ''the Ten commandments'',''BenHur'',''Jesus of Nazareth'' and all religious movies, since ten days!!
RBHILL would be proud of it.
I know the pope has been the greatest of popes and a very valuable personality for the whole world, but Mass medias built a 24/7 coverage and shows about him, wothout leving any space for anything but this.
I think that also a little silence now would have been respectful than all this mediatic circus.
