True wrestling (not the Hulk Hogan stuff) takes a lot of strength and stamina. I wrestled and played football in High School. Wrestling practice was a lot tougher.
My Dad was a wrestler years back, when it was a true sport (not to take away from the athleticism of current wrestlers) and he was one bad dude that had the mindset (much of it gained from long practices against friends on the mat) that you could not beat him. Any person in sports that adopts that attitude is very difficult to stop.
